Week 12 Stepping into Greatness Lesson

How to Power Up & Potentialize Your Opportunities

potential wordle

I remember a movie awhile back called the Dead Poets Society. It starred the late great Robin Williams.  He played a professor who would like his students to think for themselves. He makes them stand on top of their desks because this gives them a different view of things in a different way. Doing this really had an impact on me.

I find that people hardly ever look at things and the world through their own eyes. What happens is their information is usually filtered through the eyes of others. This includes filtering through the eyes of the media, our friends and family members and even politicians. What looks like one thing to one person may look totally different to someone else and may be totally different. To see what opportunities exist for us personally and what’s going on in our world, we then have to see the world through our own eyes and in our own way.

When we see opportunities we all need to recognize them and then potentialize those opportunities. Let me explain what I mean by potentialize. When something has potential it then has power and it will express possibility and it then will be influential and be effective.

Stay on the lookout and become aware for any situation that expresses possibility as you go through each day in any situation. If you want to achieve the success that you desire you have to recognize possibilities everywhere and then you should stretch and flex your mind to create million dollar ideas. Keep in mind you are not limited to just one.

If you start seeing the possibilities in your daily life and the more you practice that, the better you will become. Then take the small possibilities and potentialize them and create greater monetary abundance.

Each and every one of us has the ability to potenialize any opportunity and create phenomenal wealth with that opportunity. The awesome thing is there are numerous possibilities in every single situation. Another thing is, just because someone comes up with a new way of doing something does not mean that there isn’t another way of doing it.

Each of us has been blessed with certain characteristics and abilities that are unique to us. Each of us has our own special way of doing things which means we each have the ability to potentialize opportunities in our own unique way.

THIS WEEK'S ACTION STEP

So here is the action step for this week.

This week start to recognize potential in every situation you find yourself in. It will be a bit of a challenge at first, but once you get yourself into it then it will become a lot of fun and easy to do.

Over the course of the next week start keeping a journal. Write down at least 10 ideas you can potentialize every day into a new and prosperous opportunity. Everything you see or hear, write it down in your journal and include your ideas for potenializing the situation.

Here is an example: you are on your way to Starbuck’s for coffee. You are waiting in line and overhear a conversation between a couple of people talking business. One person is saying that they need a new website. See this as an opportunity.

You could suggest for potentializing the situation that you approach these people and tell them about a friend who designs websites and who you know to be very professional and trustworthy.

You can get the name and phone number of the person and give the information to your friend. You may suggest that for every referral you bring to them that you receive a finder’s fee. They agree because it is potential business for them and means more money for them and easy because you found the lead.

The point is, even an overheard coffee shop conversation can lead to an opportunity to put money in your pocket. Be on the lookout for opportunities and take action to potentialize them.

Remember, Life isn't about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself. It is time to create the best life possible!

Until next week
