Strengthen Your Mind on a Daily Basis
The most valuable asset you have is YOU! You and you alone will determine how successful you will be in life and in all areas of your life. You should always be training yourself to be successful in everything you do. Just how do you do this you are probably asking?
People train their muscles with exercise and your mind needs its own type of strength training as well to become stronger. Make a decision today to start training your mind.
You want to develop a daily routine to work your mind. The old saying “if you don’t use it you will use it” applies here. After a workout your muscles need rest and so does your mind muscle needs rest as well. When your mind is at rest, what you have done infiltrates your thoughts and it will change how you think.
I find that through learning and meditation is one of the most effective ways to strengthen your mind on a daily basis. You fuel your mind by reading books or listening to audio’s as well as attending seminars and different classes. There is so much information available today on the Internet so there is no reason not to learn.
Make it a habit to learn something new every day. Start with your business if you have one. Get your hands on and read everything you can about your industry, customers, competition, challenges in your industry etc.
If you have a job and are driving to work every day that is one of the best classrooms on this planet. You can get a college education by listening to audio’s on your way to work every day as well is on your way home from work.
I I set aside about an hour a day to listen to my favorite motivational speaker or a mentor. You do not have to do this all in the same hour as you could listen to 15 minutes here in 15 minutes there.
If you say you do not have an extra hour then make an extra hour. You could wake up an hour earlier and listen to some of it then. Go to bed an hour later or stop watching an hour of television at night.
Maybe when that speaker or mentor comes to your area attend the lecture or class they are holding. Our mind is like a supercomputer with an infinite hard drive. It will never run out of space no matter how much you learn.
As you continually strengthen and expand your mind you also want to give it time to rest deep relaxation exercises. When your body feels tired and exhausted you want to rest. You are tired and weary your body usually cannot function properly. Well, your mind reacts the same way.
I suggest creating a library of audio meditations. You can usually get recommendations from a yoga teacher or studio in your area. Your brain will then get the rest that it needs while listening to these audios. Your body and your mind will be thankful that you are doing this and you will reap the rewards later on. You will find yourself having more energy and thinking more clearly. You will find that your big ideas begin to manifest themselves.
