How often do you take the time to enjoy a peaceful moment? In this fast-paced world, even when we’re not working, we’re busy entertaining or being entertained, socializing, exercising, cleaning, driving, shopping, and taking care of our homes and families.
So when was the last time you spent a quiet moment just doing nothing — simply sitting and gazing out the window, watching the rain splashing down, or the snow gently falling, or the wind blowing through the trees? Or watching waves rippling on a pond, a flickering candle, or children playing joyfully in the park? When was the last time you didn’t have something scheduled, when you could just sit and relax, and simply BE, until you were ready to move on?
Sometimes we need a few moments to calm our energy vibration. Especially when we have been surrounded by that scattered and chaotic energy, where information comes at us from all directions with blazing speed. A few peaceful moments now and then can help us to see more clearly, to put things in perspective, to realign our energy with well-being, to reconnect with God/Source/Divine Intelligence. There is so much beauty around us, in the things we hurry past every day. Beauty that can, if we allow it to, spark our creativity, provide balance, and inspire us. It is so important to have times when we can just let go and be fully present in the moment, noticing and appreciating the beauty around us. I find this time of year to be especially beautiful with all of the sparkling holiday lights and decorations, as well as the happy excitement on children’s faces!
So give yourself permission to stop every now and then. Just stop and enjoy. Take a deep breath. Relax and take in the abundance that surrounds you. As you do this more and more, immersing yourself in a peaceful and abundant vibration, just imagine what you will be attracting into your life!
